2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1/3 c each – chopped green pepper & chopped celery
1/2 c chopped onion
2 tsp garlic paste or couple garlic cloves, minced
1 Tbsp each – chili powder & cocoa powder
1 tsp each – cinnamon, salt and pepper
1 c ketchup
1 tsp tabasco sauce
1/4 c water
1/2 c cider vinegar
1/3 c each – brown sugar and molasses
1 Tbsp horseradish
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, stir in onion, celery, pepper and garlic. Cook until tender, stirring often. Stir in remainder of ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often. This sauce is delicious on just about any meat. I love it on wings too.
Store in covered container in refrigerator until ready to use.
