So while i would appreciate some more dynamic naming in EuV, Louisiana is still a European colonial name and can atleast somewhat be rationalized by the name of some explorer or that the land was found by the French and the name stuck when someone else colonised it. About the Aztec thing, I didn't have any cores at all, a few days after I took it, a prompt to form a Colonial Nation popped up. That will be fixed in a future patch

Mexico was a colonial nation of Spain. You can conquer loads of new territory at 100% absolutism in EU4, core it in a few months, then that land is considered your patrimony forever in Vicky 2 even if it's wrong culture and so on. Mr. Wiggles.

True, but then again, in can‘t be formed by natives and, in practice, will only be formed by former European colonies. Mexico, the province, itself has a gold mine. It's all right though as I figured out how to form client states and so formed a number of them instead. Basically with the ways cores and accepted cultures work in EU4, the cores carrying over into Vicky are a total disaster. This is a good change, but might I also suggest changes to the decisions to form Czechoslovakia/the Mexican empire/Arabia. I just had the same problem. But surely we'll try to keep compatibility with the new patches of EU4 as our guiding principle. But that was in a previuos version, si I don't know if the new patch chanegd it.
I released that nation and continued playing as that nation and formed Mexico. When Conquest of Paradise was released, I was hoping that a westernized Aztecs would be able to form the modern Mexican nation, but turns out you can't. Then as Mexico I started to colonize Australia, but for some reason no colonial nation is forming there, even though I have already 7 cores there (Australia is one region and one colonial region).
