The Shrouded Ghost, of course, spawns in the fog.
Its been months of only those two colors.
First off i need to excuse myself.
Following the Shrouded Spoils campaign, it was like a switch was thrown on the Megalodon Spawn Rates. There is a pattern in how they spawn and where. At the time of the original posting, I only had a handful of Green/Yellow Megs to complete for the Legendary commendation and the ever elusive White Meg to find. Only users with topic management privileges can see it. They spawn on ships. I’m wondering if the problem is that spawn rates are lower on a brig, than a sloop or galleon? My sailing time has not decreased, my sailing activities have not changed. There is no way to force a meg to spawn, however there are things you can do to increase your chances of seeing one.
Do the probabilities of each Meg type change dependent on the crews collective Completed Commendations? Thanks for any encouraging information you'd be able to provide! For example they only spawn in open sea, so you could plan a route that takes you between the islands and keeps you in the open sea and just loop around the map until you find one. There is no way to force a meg to spawn, however there are things you can do to increase your chances of seeing one.
Would you be able to shed a glimmer of light on the spawn mechanics of Megalodons? It's easy to misread, no problem. Sloops see less Megs than Galleons? Megalodons are vicious predators that appear around Player Ships on open seas. I am a big game farmer and currently I just have to kill 18 Ancient Terror & 5 Shrouded Ghost to finish the game. @realstyli Every time you finish the TT9 you have a meg ? I get like 3-6 per hour + a kraken or 2... and thats just by spamming forts... @lysergicaa Krakens I get all the time as well! I used to see them quite a lot and of course my crew and I would pass on killing them, but when I want to hunt them, they are no where to be found.
Sea of Thieves Game Discussion Feedback + Suggestions Megalodon Spawn Rate Megalodon Spawn Rate browsing. ), I ask these questions as the frustration of seeing only Blue and Purple Megs is becoming discouraging to the crew. @scrubber89 It is, I've killed it myself. Megs don't seem to … I don't think it's worth the hassle. @promotordj I agree, something changed with the spawn rate. Well for me my stats say it all no shrouded ghost meg earned all i want to do need a new pieces of map high level pirates with secret maps to get us back in the game i was second to get 1000 gamer score and didnt even get a mention from rare hmm sums up the devs signing of 30 million sailed near 5k in completed voyages .
As for shrouded ghost, thats just gonna have to be pure luck. Since the Completion, and no exaggeration here, my crew and I have ONLY encountered Blue and Purple Megs (and yes, we have taken the time to destroy each and every one). Unfortunately, I don’t have enough information to verify this but I have noticed a pattern. feedback. It is just not a 100% certainty its the shrouded.
Shrouded Spoils introduced all the various flavors of Megalodons, and during the Shrouded Spoils campaign, they spawned quite regularly and I was able to crush 3 of the 5 (Blue, Purple, Red) Legendary Meg commendations.
I miss the days of sailing in open water and regularly encountering a Megalodon. As we sail literally every day for 6+ hours a day, and with 18M meters sailed to date, the redundancy of Blue and Purple megs is wearing on us. Only users with topic management privileges can see it.
Other than that, it seems to be totally random, or they've done a good job of hiding any triggers for it. Heart on you if you answer my question. 240 Arena wins as PL? The Shrouded ghost isnt even in the game, it cant be. I had a few questions that were related to my OG post.

I've read a few comments here and there regarding this topic, and may have altogether missed a previously posted forum, but I thought I write my thoughts here. It seems like when you're hunting them, they just don't spawn. The Megs are attracted by boats in proximity to each other. I prefaced the post apologizing for bring up an old thread. I know that I have little chance of having an answer but I try because it is my last resort because it really despairs me ... My point in all this is the Megalodon Spawn Rate has noticeably changed.
Some have theorized that having treasure aboard makes them more likely to spawn, but I don't think that it was ever proven. This topic has been deleted. This topic has been deleted. As a side note, I was in Arena and saw two others with the title, which I thought was pretty RARE lol. Only users with topic management privileges can see it. My typical Megalodon spawn encounters are approximately 2 Megs in a 4-5 hour session.
